My name is Solange Aké. With roots in France, the Ivory Coast, and now Prince Edward Island, I’ve garnered an appreciation for the beauty in the differences between cultures. Since I’ve come to the Island, I’ve been able to share my pride in french heritage by working towards the development of the Acadian and Francophone communities.
I’ve always had a passion for decorating. As a child, I would paint and make whatever I could to represent my personality in whatever space I found myself. However, the itch to decorate professionally came with the opportunity to decorate a friend’s reception hall in France. I found myself in love with the process of using my creativity to honour my friend and their history for an event that meant so much to them.
